فصول السنةThe Four Seasons

الربيعSpring

منتصف مارس – منتصف يونيوMid-Mar – Mid-Jun

يُعدّ الربيع من أجمل الفصول في جنوب السعودية، حيث تكتسي المرتفعات بالخضرة وتعتدل درجات الحرارة، خاصة في مناطق عسير والباحة وجبال جازان. تتراوح الأجواء بين اللطيفة نهاراً والباردة نسبياً ليلاً، وقد تنخفض في بعض المرتفعات إلى أقل من 15 درجة مئوية. كما تزداد فرص هطول الأمطار، مصحوبةً أحياناً بالضباب والسحب التي تضفي على المشهد جمالاً استثنائياً.

Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons in southern Saudi Arabia. The highlands turn green and temperatures grow mild — especially in Asir, Al-Baha and the Jazan mountains. Days are pleasant while nights are relatively cool, dropping below 15°C in some highlands. Rainfall increases too, sometimes accompanied by fog and clouds that lend the landscape an exceptional beauty.

الصيفSummer

منتصف يونيو – منتصف سبتمبرMid-Jun – Mid-Sep

الصيف في جنوب السعودية موسمٌ مثالي للهروب من حرارة المناطق الأخرى، حيث تتميّز المرتفعات الجنوبية الغربية بأجواء معتدلة مقارنة بمعظم أنحاء المملكة، مع فرص أكبر لتشكّل السحب والضباب والأمطار الموسمية التي تكسو المنطقة خضرةً ونقاء. تُعدّ أبها والباحة وجهتين صيفيتين مميزتين، بينما تتميّز سواحل البحر الأحمر بأجواء دافئة مناسبة للسباحة والغوص والرحلات البحرية. علماً أن الرطوبة ترتفع كلما اتجهت لسواحل جازان صيفاً.

Summer in the south is the perfect escape from the heat elsewhere. The southwestern highlands stay mild compared with most of the Kingdom, with frequent clouds, fog and seasonal rains that keep the region green and refreshing. Abha and Al-Baha are standout summer destinations, while the Red Sea coast offers warm waters ideal for swimming, diving and cruises. Note that humidity rises as you head toward the Jazan coast in summer.

الخريفAutumn

منتصف سبتمبر – منتصف ديسمبرMid-Sep – Mid-Dec

يتميّز الخريف بأجواء معتدلة ومنعشة، حيث تبدأ درجات الحرارة بالانخفاض تدريجياً في المرتفعات الجنوبية الغربية، وتبقى الطبيعة الجبلية وجهة مثالية للهواء النقي والمناظر الخلابة. فترة مناسبة لاستكشاف القرى التراثية والمسارات الجبلية والمنتزهات في عسير والباحة وجازان، بينما تصبح سواحل البحر الأحمر أكثر اعتدالاً، وتوفّر صحاري الربع الخالي ظروفاً مثالية للمغامرات الصحراوية والتخييم.

Autumn brings mild, refreshing weather as temperatures gradually fall in the southwestern highlands. The mountains remain an ideal destination for fresh air and stunning views — perfect for exploring heritage villages, mountain trails and nature parks in Asir, Al-Baha and Jazan. The Red Sea coast turns milder, while the Empty Quarter offers ideal conditions for desert adventures and camping.

الشتاء من أجمل الفصول لاستكشاف الجنوب، حيث تتميّز المرتفعات بأجواء معتدلة نهاراً وباردة مساءً، مع مشاهد الضباب والسحب التي تلامس القمم وتمنح المنطقة طابعاً ساحراً. فترة مثالية لرحلات التخييم والمشي في المسارات الجبلية واستكشاف القرى التراثية في عسير والباحة وجازان، بينما توفّر سواحل البحر الأحمر أجواءً لطيفة، ويقدّم الربع الخالي تجربة شتوية فريدة بين الكثبان تحت سماء صافية ونجوم متلألئة.

Winter is one of the finest seasons to explore the south. The highlands are mild by day and cool in the evening, with fog and clouds touching the peaks for a magical atmosphere. It's ideal for camping, mountain hikes and heritage villages in Asir, Al-Baha and Jazan, while the Red Sea coast stays pleasant and the Empty Quarter offers a unique winter experience among the dunes beneath clear, star-filled skies.

ماذا تحزم: جاكيت أو معطف للأجواء الباردة في المرتفعات مساءً وصباحاً، أحذية مريحة للمشي، ومستحضرات مرطّبة للبشرة. What to pack: a warm jacket or coat for cold highland mornings and evenings, comfortable walking shoes, and moisturizers for your skin.

يتوافق شهر رمضان غالباً مع قدوم الربيع، لذا من الجميل أن تكون على دراية بالعادات وآداب السلوك خلال الشهر الكريم. Ramadan usually coincides with spring, so it's good to be mindful of local customs and etiquette during the holy month.

طرق الدفعPayment Methods

يمكن للزوّار القادمين للسعودية تحويل العملات وإجراء كافة المعاملات المالية بسهولة، ولا داعي لحمل أموال نقدية — فالكثير من المحلات والمنشآت والفنادق ووسائل النقل تقبل الدفع بالبطاقات الائتمانية (فيزا، ماستر كارد، وApple Pay) وغيرها من البطاقات الذكية. وفي ظل توجّه المملكة نحو "المجتمع غير النقدي" (Cashless Society)، يُعدّ الدفع الإلكتروني وسيلة آمنة وسهلة عبر البطاقات اللاتلامسية والذكية، ولم يعد قاصراً على التسوّق أونلاين بل امتدّ لدفع الفواتير وباقي المعاملات بضغطة زر — لتتفرّغ للغوص وزيارة المعالم. Visitors to Saudi Arabia can exchange currency and handle all financial transactions with ease — there's no need to carry cash. Most shops, businesses, hotels and transport accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay) and other smart-payment methods. As part of the Kingdom's move toward a cashless society, electronic payment is a safe, simple way to pay using contactless and smart cards. It's no longer limited to online shopping — bills and everyday transactions are settled at the tap of a button, leaving you free to enjoy diving and sightseeing.
