تمتد مرتفعات جازان من الجنوب إلى الشمال على مسافة 100 كيلومتر. أبرز قممها جبال فيفا (2000م)، والحشر (1900م)، والقهر (1800م)، والعبادل (1800م). تنحدر منها أودية شهيرة كوادي جازان وبيش وخلب وصبيا وعتود. وتلتقي هذه المرتفعات مع مرتفعات عسير لتشكّل تاجاً أخضر فريداً في الجنوب.
The highlands of Jazan extend 100 km from south to north. Key peaks include Fifa (2,000m), Hashr (1,900m), Qahr (1,800m), and Abadil (1,800m). Famous valleys like Wadi Jazan, Bish, Khalb, Sabya, and Atoud descend from them. Together with Aseer's highlands, they form a unique green crown of southern Saudi Arabia.
التراث والفلكلورHeritage & Folklore
تنتشر في هذه المرتفعات رسوم صخرية تؤرخ لعصور ما قبل التاريخ، وكتابات عربية قديمة كالخط المسند الجنوبي والخط الثمودي التي ترجع للألفين الثاني والأول قبل الميلاد. كما تُعدّ المدرجات الزراعية التي تُزيّن منحدرات الجبال من أبرز ما يلفت أنظار الزوار.
These highlands contain prehistoric rock art and ancient inscriptions including South Arabian Musnad and Thamudic scripts dating back to the 1st and 2nd millennia BC. The spectacular agricultural terraces carved into the mountainsides remain one of the most striking sights for visitors.
الطبيعة والمواقعNature & Attractions
تُزرع في هذه المرتفعات أجود أنواع البن الخولاني العالمي. والغابات الضبابية والينابيع الطبيعية والأودية الخضراء تمنح الزائر تجربة فريدة. ومن أبرز المواقع: جبل طلان، وادي لجب، الجبل الأسود، ومزارع القهوة المتناثرة على المنحدرات.
These highlands produce the world-renowned Khawlani coffee. Misty forests, natural springs, and lush valleys offer a unique experience. Key sites include Jabal Tallan, Wadi Lajab, the Black Mountain, and coffee farms scattered across the slopes.
